Research & Development.

Autogas equipment enhancements are not fully future proof and new autogas products don't grow on trees.  Technology & specifications on today's growing automotive petrol vehicles change and are modified on what seems like a daily basis.  To keep up with today's and tomorrows vehicles, FES autogas dedicates a large amount of it's resources to working, here in the UK on products for now and for the future.  FES's relationship with it's equipment supplier, OMVL in Italy, are second to non and this is very important to being able to support you the installer with product that works. R & D work is an on going thing and every day FES autogas is strategically working on latest hardware and software to make our products are always a head of the competition.  We are currently testing and developing new products for the UK market that will be available for sale over the next 18 months.

Over the last 24 months, FES has worked on development of the new OMVL Piro gas injection system which was launched here in the UK in Feb 2006.  This product is the latest generation injection system with features and functions that the UK autogas market is demanding. It is still the only autogas injection system developed in the UK with UK installers in mind. 

We have launched in the last 12 months through development work, the Regbull Vapouriser for mixer ring systems and also the Raf 04 gas control system.  Each product having received development and enhancements in the hands of FES autogas.

Current projects that we can talk about are our working on vehicle specific autogas equipment for Kymco UK road legal and agricultural quadbikes, enabling farmers and agricultural users of quad bikes in enclosed locations, to run on the environmentally friendly and available autogas fuel.  This project has been running for 12 months and so far has proved very successful in the trials we have run.

FES autogas is also the sole uk supplier of the Pro-water gas system for air cooled VW's. This is the only air-cooled water heated gas system known that complies with E67.01 and the LPGA C.O.P. 11   This is out own in house developed product and has been sold for over 4 years with fantastic results.

Autogas or LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) conversions are nothing new, they have been around for years. Advances in technology now allows almost any petrol vehicle to be converted to dual fuel.
 


The environmental benefits of LPG are clear. Not only is carbon dioxide output reduced, but also particulates are virtually eliminated.
 


The biggest saving is on the fuel itself and the government is committed to keeping the cost down for years to come. The cost of conventional fuels is set to rise as the government tackles urban pollution.
