Britain is currently one of the most expensive places in the world to buy a
litre of petrol or diesel. But at less than 69p a litre ( as off January 2009) LPG is around half the price of
petrol and your car can be made to run on it.
Savings at the pump
The government has increased duty on petrol and diesel every year since
1994, while at the same time rewarding the environmental advantages of the
cleaner fuel by freezing or reducing the duty on LPG. This makes LPG a very
inexpensive fuel. So not only are its environmental credentials sound, it
will reduce your vehicles running costs considerably.
Greener fuel
In terms of ecological benefits, LPG reduces harmful emissions by around
90% compared to petrol engines, making it more friendly to the environment
and your vehicle. These benefits include reduction in NOx,
reduction in carbon monoxide, no benzene emissions, lower sulphur levels, lower hydrocarbon emissions and lower
noise levels.
